Is this a strike?
On this episode of Youth Baseball Talk, Jim and Spiker are tackling one of the toughest subjects in all of baseball: Umpiring. The guys discuss the taboos associated with being critical of umpires, as well as the fact that we should always respect authority on the field due to the difficulty of the job. Also, they look at umpires taking matters into their own hands by altering the strike zone in order to increase the speed of the game. Is this acceptable? Do we need to “make kids swing the bat” in order to get home for dinner at an earlier time?
Plus, Kirk McNabb of Dirtbag Sports Nation joins the show with the “Rope Report“, Justin Stone brings us his “EliteBaseball.Tv Training Tip of the Week“, and Rick Strickland (St. Louis Pirates) is here for “Ask Rick“, brought to you by Blast Motion.
